Thunder Camps – What you need?

Q. At what venues are the camps held?
A.The Manchester Thunderdome hosts the majority of the kids camps, it is the hub of netball in the north west. We do from time to time hold camps at other venues around the north west, sign up to our newsletter on the main Northern Thunder home page and you will be the first to find out where the camps are.
Q. What age are the camps for?
A. The camps are generally aimed at age 8 to 15
Q. What are the start and finish times?
A. The usual start time is 9.30am and they finish at 3.30pm
Q. Who coaches on the camps?
A. We have a variety of qualified coaches from Director of Netball Tracey Neville and NTL Head Coach Paul Harper, many of the players also lead or assist on camps so you are sure to meet one of your role models. All coaches are fully CRB checked.
Q. Does your child need any money?
A. No, the camps are pre-paid so there is no need to bring any money. However, drinks and snacks are available at Wright Robinson if required. Any valuables eg: mobile phones are brought at your own risk
Q. Can your child be talent spotted?
A. The camps are meant to improve your child’s skills and matchplay while upholding a fun element. However, if a child is spotted as having potential they may be recommended to the Thunder Regional Academy coaching staff to be monitored. Parents will be contacted in this case.
