Please find below my blog for this week –
It was an early start on Saturday morning for our long trip down to Cardiff to play Celtic Dragons – there were a few grumpy faces at that time of the morning as you can imagine! As soon as we got onto the coach Bayman shot gunned the back seats and went straight to sleep (standard) whilst a few of the girls stayed awake to plan their trip to the Bournemouth 7’s Festival in May – or as Krista likes to call it, A6… A couple of hours into the journey and it was time for the quiz as presented by quiz master Phil Thomas. He eagerly grabbed the mic and made sure everyone was awake to take part! Much to my delight I managed to team up with Kerry – Queen of the Thunder quizzes – and we cruised to victory winning a box of Celebrations which only lasted about 10 minutes! |
Easter Sunday was a restful day and everyone spent time with their families which helped us refocus for our last home game of the season against Northumbria. But before we headed to the Thunderdome we were filming in a secret location…all will be revealed soon so watch this space! We had a steady start to the game and quickly moved through the gears, eventually winning 77-34, the most we’ve scored all season. The crowd was great, like it has been all year, we are really grateful for all your support :)
We now have a couple of training sessions before our last away game against Loughborough Lightning. This will be a tough game, but is perfect preparation before our semi-final which is on the 18th at the Manchester Arena – you can get your tickets here……
We hope to see you there
